Bargain Hunt
Two teams of amateur collectors meet at an antiques fair to compete to turn in the largest profit from a £300 budget. The teams receive guidance from expert traders, who give feedback on which items are most likely to attract the highest bids. The contestants first head to the High Street to acquire items they want to trade. Any leftover money is taken by their mentors, who go shopping for extra items as 'bonus buys'. The teams must decide which 'package' of goodies should be taken to auction, on the understanding that they may turn in a profit or loss on their investment decisions. The show has been on air since March 2000, being voted Most Popular Daytime Programme in 2002 and Best Lifestyle Show in 2003. It was also nominated for Most Popular Factual Entertainment Programme in 2003.
