Benedict Cumberbatch und Martin Freeman gewinnen Emmy Award

In Los Angeles sind zum 66. Mal die Primetime Emmy Awards im Nokia Theatre vergeben worden. Sie gehören zu den wichtigsten Fernsehpreisen der Welt.

Der Überraschungssieger ist der Brite Benedict Cumberbatch, der für seine Titelrolle in der von Kritik wie Publikum gelobten Krimireihe "Sherlock" als bester Schauspieler in einer Miniserie oder Film prämiert wurde.

Sein Mitspieler Martin Freeman erhielt den Emmy als bester Nebendarsteller, außerdem gab es die Auszeichnung für das beste Drehbuch.

Die meisten Nominierungen konnten die Fantasyserie "Game of Thrones" (19), "Fargo" (18), "American Horror Story: Coven" (17),"Breaking Bad" (16) und "Normal Heart" (16) verbuchen.
